(concept and art direction)
Challenge: Heritage Press, a Texas-based press, want to promote their new 60” press. While the press has an impressive print-surface size and eight-colors printing capabilities, promoting a new equipment based on equipment specs will not generate the excitement Heritage need from it’s clients.
Solution: A fun theme “Five Feet Equals 60 Inches” was created for this new equipment. With this concept theme, illustrator Rick Sealock was brought on to the project for his whimsical style. Working with Sealock on layout and designs, elements of cowboys, guns, and other western-themed objects were included in the final poster but the five-feet cow maintain the center focus to illustrate the “Five Feet Equals 60 Inches” theme.
Result: A visual and colorful impact poster was created for this promotion. Texture-rich elements throughout the poster not only show off the press capabilities but also keeps the audiences engage with this whimsical theme.
Awards: American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and Dallas Society of Visual Communications (DSVC)
